putting a bed on a chassis cab?

Ok, so even though I really like my custom flat bed (I can ride 3 four wheelers on it or 2 large snowmobiles )that came with my truck, I much prefer the look of a bed. I think that my frame rails are different from a complete vehicle (straight instead of a hump over the axle) but if I am wrong hopefully someone will correct me. I figure that if I alter the mounting points on the bed just a little (shorten some of them to make up for a slightly higher frame rail) to get a good match on the body lines. Has anyone tried this? I searched on the site and Google, maybe I am just not using the right words, but I can't seem to find anyone that has done it for guidance.

Are you talking more than things that are really obvious like the path the frame follows? Like width? Do you happen to know what the LWB DRW frame measurements in relation to the LWB DRW chassis cab frame rails are, or maybe where to get them?

I know the width is different. If you look at the tracks of the wheels correct me if I'm wrong but a cab and chasis the front tire will split the duals in the back and on a regular bed dually the front tire is in the same track as the inside dual wheel.
