I'm doing the fog light/high beam mod this weekend, kinda wanted to knock them both out at the same time ya know.....Thanks for any info you can help with!

pop out headlight switch, wire from parking light hot to fog light hot. i put a switch but its hidden under dash. havent touched it once. keeps them on when headlights are on too, so you dont gotta pull the switch out anymore. i can try and find the color wires if youd like, but thats the basic idea.

That was me with the link, but ok
hah just messing around.. bored at home The dremel is basically modifying your stock switch so that it can pull out in the parking light position. You have to shave off a piece of plastic so it can do it, and then I believe you have to do some stuff to the wiring. Easier to do it with the link I provided. You dont run the risk of ruining your headlight switch, and it works good. They turn off and on with the parklights (which are on with the headlights too).. you can never accidentally leave them on, even if you leave the toggle you spliced in for it on 24/7 (like me). |
