Saw an F150 with F250 decals today

So after dropping my sister off as i was driving home i saw an early 2000's F150 de-badged and replaced with F250 decals. Complete with the V10 Triton under the side badges next to the door. I am 100% positive it was an F150 (as my bud has the exact same model...early 2000's extended cab).

I can't decide...is it cool to do this to a non superduty truck or not

Hmmmm? On one hand I want to say no. If you want a F-250 then buy a F-250.

On the other hand I want to say yes. Maybe he really wants an F-250 but can't afford a new truck. Pretty much everybody in the world is jealous of Super Duty owners, so I guess I can see where he's coming from.

somewhere inbetween 1997-2000 ford did offer a f250 in that body style it was not called a superduty however

if i recall they all came with 5.4 v8's and heavier duty suspension

no diesel option tho

This one for sure had the V10 badges. Are the 97-00 body's the same as say a 2002? My bud has an 02 and this was the same body I'm sure

Well how do you like that? I've never seen one before. Do they just have beefier axle's and suspension?

Wow! F250 light duty, I've never heard of that! Thanks for the link. Maybe the guy just swapped the 5.4 badges for the V10 badges

its true, from the body style 99-03 the did offer a F250 light duty and they also had a 7700 that had a seven lug axle, cant remember if that was the 250 also too, it may have been available in a F250 light duty..

My neighbor has the F250 7700 version. I'm pretty sure it has the 7-lugs. I did a double take when I saw it. I'd heard they made one, just hadn't see one.
