2005 front end COnversion!

Ok guys so i want to do a (2005-2007) front end conversion to my 2001.
Look through my gallery and you will see that i have the 2007 harley headlights in already.

Now EXACTLY what else do i need to do the bumper and grille?

Do i just buy the 05 front bumper and the 05 grille and it will fit?

I do not want to buy a new header panel unless i absolutely HAVE TO because i already spent hours modifying the one in now for the headlights to fit.

So anything else i need to buy besides the plain old grille and bumper?

yes that will work... but.... the grill will have nowhere to clip because the 05 grill clips and your header panel do not have them in the same place so i guess you could just zip tie the bottom of the grill so it doesn't move around

well i might either do that or just see if MKM customs can make me an 05 grille thats not cut on the bottom that will pop right in to my header panel. that is if they dont rape me on the price.

anyone know how much it will cost to paint the top strip of the 2005 front bumper? or can you buy these already painted?

that comes as a kit with everything.....

do you need the 05+ bumper or will it fit with the 99+ style?

yes you need a 05+ bumper to make it fit just right.... only way it will fit a 99-04 is if you cut the bottom of the grill..

ah, sounds like ill just stick with the 05+ headlights for now

i left my 99 header panel and it worked fine, like Raul said i just zip tied the bottom for the grille to hold it.
