broken tailgate
hey the passenger side tailgate "joint" or whatever it is has broken apart...i got all the replacement parts i could...but i have yet to get the metal retaining ring type strap that goes around the plastic cup. does anyone ahve a part number for this? my local ford dealership couldn't find the part either...it's a small metal band that goes around th swivel part of the bottom of the tailgate..
i dunno wtf ford was thinking when they made this design...it's the dumbest was to make a tailgate work that i've ever seen...we have chevy trucks at my job and the tailgates on them click on and off so easily and the connection part is so simple...this stupid metal band around a plastic cup design ford has is absolutely retarded...plz someone give me a part number or something for this...thanks you
