Question How To Remove...

How would i go about removing the factory bed caps off of my 1999 f-250? it has those tabs in the bottom and i cant seem to squeeze them enough with plyers, anyone have and suggestions or know the right way to do this? I bought this trim paint for plastic to paint them so it looks better.

I have taken mine off. All i did was squeeze the plastic tabs with plyers and pushed up. They poped right off.
