I want to do front end conversion to 08 style

Hi, I just bought my first diesel truck and I'm loving it. I will never go back to gasoline again. Anyway, I have an 03 F350 and I would love to do the front end conversion to the new style (08 and up). I am very serious about this and just need to figure out if I can afford it and where I can get it done; or if I can do it myself. I am not very experienced but I'm a fast learner and can follow directions very well. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I love this forum and can't wait to become more involved.

for the 08+ style you need to replace pretty much everything.. fenders, hood, bumper, header panel, headlights, etc.. its a lot of work and very expensive as far as i know

I know it will be a lot of work. The expensive part is where it gets tricky. One guy said he had it all done for $1900; another guy said he had it all done for $700 but he has a body shop. If I can get it all done for under $2K I'll be happy. Do you think that's realistic?

i would imagine that you are looking at well over a grand but it would be nice if it was cheaper than that

I definitely have to keep the price in mind because my pockets are not as deep as other's. On the other hand, I really want to do it and have every intention to get it done. I'm not doing it for resale value or anything, I plan on keeping this truck around for a long time. Giving it a new facelift will keep the excitement and interest up. I love my truck.

that's a little discouraging, but if your're right; it's something I have to consider. I'm going to do some more research on actual parts. I'll post what I find.

okay, here's what I found out so far:

08 hood (primered): $346.72 delivered
08 bumper (chrome) $337.98 delivered
08 grille (chrome frame) $234.00 delivered
08 Fenders (primered) $127x2=$254 delivered
08 headlights $161.37x2=$322.74

Total just on these parts is $1495.44 if I were to purchase new online.

dont forget the header panel, wire harness to make the new lights work, and you will have to relocate your radiator and all that in the front end to make it work
