285's vs 305's????

I am currently running Goodyear Silent Armor Pro Grade 285/75-16's..I am looking at Nitto Terra Grappler's 305/70-16's.
My issue is,going by the specs for both tires,it lists my 285/75-16's as being a hair taller. Will this hold true once mounted on a factory Lariat rim?I was wanting to go a little taller, but not too much.Once you go to a 315/70-16,the measurement jumps to 34.5 inches. My current ones list at 32.7 inches.Anyone made the switch to 305's w/factory rims that could see a height difference?Lemme know ,Thanks.

i had 285's on my truck and went to a 305, and you can barely even tell that they are alittle bit taller its not gonna make hardly any difference at all. Also they are are stock rims and regular road tires.

Update..I went with the 305/70-16's.They are roughly 2 1/2"s taller than my 285/75-16's.I must say, they ride alot better also.

285 75 16 Converted to inches is a 33" x 11.22 x 16

305 70 16 Converted is inches a 33" x 12.01 x 16

So 3/4 an inch wider no height difference however there are some brands that vary! 2 1/2 inches no I have seen 34.5 inches in some brands
