Special "U" or "J" Nuts
I picked up a set of Ford step bars. They look kinda like nerf bars, but flatter. I got the bars, 3 brackets for each side, and all the bolts. However, there are no nuts under the rocker panel to fasten to. My guess is that there needs to be a "J" or "U" nut or maybe a cage nut fastening system. Has anyone removed the Ford bars, and looked at the nut that stays in place? Can you tell me what it is?
