Gear Vendor two speed over drive

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyone have experience with these??

Found a replacement 7.3 truck and it has one. No idea if it'll be a blessing or a curse.

Any feedback appreciated!

Thanks

I have not used one but from info gathered from the website is seem like a good product.

I remember driving a 30ft box truck with a 2 spliter type rear end some years ago and it was fine. Not sure how it works on regular pickup.. Is your auto or manual type.

I seem to remember with a 5 speed trans i would start in first, after getting some speed and RPMs, let off gas pull button on shift stick to shift rear-end, get back on gas and runs rpm up to shift point, then up shift to 2nd and push button down, etc though the gears like that.

when loaded not so heavy i would just shift normal and get in 5th, let that wind up some and then pull button to put rear-end in high.

kinda like an overdrive.

I have also driven Tractor Trailer deal with a 2 speed rear-end but you when through the gears to 5th and pulled button to get to high side, go back to 1st which is now 6th and got to 10th gear..

you might have a real good deal in that truck and the add on.
