Won't move

Ok driving along just fine no noises or weird shifts and went to take off from a light when it went to shift into second it just revved up like it was in neutral. Sat on side of road for about ten minutes it started moving again went about 500 feet and it stopped again. Tried 4 hi and nothing tried 4 low and it started moving went about 3/4 of a mile and that stopped working. Checked all connections and fluids levels look good color is good and smell is good. It's a 99 with a 7.3 auto tranny and manual transfer. PULLING MY HAIR FOR A WEEK NOW NEED HELP ANY IDEAS. Thanks Shawn

m truck did the same thing but its a 5r110 i dropped the pan and found this

yesterday it went totally out

its a new tranny had about 4000 miles on it it was shifting better then ever and all of a sudden went out while i was leaving a stop sign

Is the Overdrive light flashing at all?

I was thinking maybe the torque converter. Is the pump something I could change I'm pretty mechanically inclined. Thanks Guys

I haven't done one before but the trans has to be removed and so does the torque converter if I remember right

at 4000 miles don't you have a warranty on the tranny?

ya there is but there taking forever ats is supposed to pick up the tranny this week and have it back and let me know what was wrong
