Flashing Overdrive Light truck dies

Im stumped here. So for the past couple days the overdrive light has been flashing on the shifter in my 01 7.3, which got me very worried because I know that it is a known sign of transmission failure. However for about 4 days the light would flash but the truck was driving completely fine. Then last night i backed into my driveway and wanted to pull up to straighten out. As soon as I put it in Drive, the engine started misfiring and when i hit the gas the truck moved about 2 feet then bogged down and died. I took the key out and started it again and the light wasnt flashing and it was fine. So today i scanned for codes and it threw a P0232 code, which means "fuel pump secondary circuit high". So i read somewhere to swap the relay so i swapped the relay for the pcm with the relay for the blower motor and the truck was fine for a few hours... The light never came on. Then as soon as i got home tonight i backed into the same spot and was about to pull up again and the light started flashing and the engine misfired and when i went forward it barely moved then died. Took the key out and started it to move it again and it was fine. Does anyone have any idea what could be going on here??

First, a flashing OD light is like the SES light, but for the Transmission. It doesn't mean a transmission failure as much as it means there are transmission specific codes you need to retrieve. You need a good scanner to retrieve them though, what are you using to get the P232? (which I don't think could be related to the Flashing OD)

That would be the place to start, find out what Trans Codes are there.

Ok that clears up some if my confusion. I used an old hypertech programmer to scan the codes so i guess I can have my buddy use his snap on scanner on it and see what comes up
