Overheated 4r100

Hello all, first I'd like to apologise if I'm beating a dead horse but I did a search and didn't get much.
I have a 2001 7.3 Excursion 4X4. It has 37" tires with stock gearing and drivetrain. I bought a 26' toy hauler and by the time I got home it was pouring tranny fluid. I know this is a common problem with this tranny. The question is, Do I need to get a new tranny or do I just need to flush and get a bigger cooler? The last thing I want is to breakdown with the family. I will also get guages.

I would at least drain the pan and add more fluid and pick up a 6.0 transmission cooler. It is huge compared to the stock 7.3 cooler...
