Best option for 4r100 with future engine mods

My 4r100 has been slipping in second at random times and has now gotten to where in town I must shift on the colum to get past second gear
Therefore I want to upgrade my trans but not sure if I Should rebuild this one or go suncoast or bts??
Truck has 235k miles..4 inch lift and 35's
I'm replacing injectors at the same and wanting to use stage 2 injectors then later on install a 38r
Just wanting to know what will be the best trans for my future setup
I also want prices

Well BTS will be the best, but its big $$$$$. Trust me I have one. What stage 2 injectors. There are many variations out there. From 160/30's to 180/100's.

I do sent a lot of trans work to a local shop that's close to me that builds a lot of work stock pulling trucks. Specializes in Ford but is still really good with all actually.

I'm from eastern ky and there is not much truck pulling going on here
And I don't trust letting just any ol guy rebuild it
It's just a dd that I want to stay very reliable
I really don't want to pay 5k for a trans in a truck that worth 8k
So I'd prefer to have it rebuilt to handle the 38r and bigger injectors and I'm not sure which exact size injectors I'm going with
I'd like to keep my trans build around 3000-3500 if at all possible so if anyone knows of a respectable trans shop around ky it'd be greatly appreciated
Thanks guys

I believe your missing my point. He can and is able to build transmissions that can hold up to the abuse of truck pulling. That being said a reliable DD is very easy to build for him. I am no redneck shop, neither is the shop I recommended. I am am a site sponsor on here. We can ship you the trans but a core deposit will be required.

FWIW, there are few shops really that are well versed in the 4R100. All trans shops "say" they can rebuild them just as a Ford dealer will say the same thing. But...we know the tricks of the trans because that's all we work on is Ford diesel.

You should decide what hp you want, what injectors and turbo setup you'll need to obtain hp goal and than build trans to suit. If you do it reverse you may or may not be doing a trans rebuild for a second time...

I don't see where anyone called you a redneck shop.

Your location just says "Defiance". Is that Missouri, Ohio, where you at? If Missouri, I would put you on my list to check out when I get my trans rebuilt but I want to be able to get my hands on the shop owner if I have to.

Correct. Nobody stated I was a redneck shop. I was just simply stating I was not just "any ol guy". Which around here is usually a redneck. .

And I am located in Defiance, Ohio.
