Shift Problems

I dont know if this is due to tranny problems but i figured this was the best place for it
I have an auto and once its in park its really hard to get out of park. Like you have to really put some uumph in it to get it out of park, almost like its hanging up somewhere shifting through other gears feels just like it should.
I dont know if theres any sort of adjustment anywhere for this or if i have internal problems or what. Thats why im asking you guys
Thanks

I had this same problem on my explorer and it turned out to be the ABS brake lockout controler. it eventualy got where I couldn't even jerk it into gear, changed that box and it's smooth as silk

I'm not sure, I told a friend of mine at the dealership about the problem and he said that's what it was. maybe he knows what he's talking about or it may have just been a good guess
