OD light flashing, codes 1747, 1760

Hey everyone, I've got a 2000 f350 7.3 with an automatic. I bought the truck about a year and a half ago and ever since I bought it the OD light has flashed all the time, and the truck ran at a higher rpm with very low power. I wasn't really driving the truck so I didn't really worry about it. But 3 days last week the light went out and the truck was a complete animal. On the 4th day, I started the truck and the light was back and the truck was back to running like $h1t. I read the codes and got a 1747 which is epc (electronic pressure control) short and a 1760 which is epc short intermittent. I've checked the wiring harness thoroughly and can't seem to find the source of a short so my question is 1: could the solenoid itself be bad and 2: where exactly is this solenoid located? I can see 3 sensors on the outside of the transmission but I called a Ford dealer and the guy said he thinks it's internal but he had no idea what I was even talking about at first so I'm not sure whether I believe him. Sorry for such a mouthful of a thread, I'm a new guy. Anyway, any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading.
