Location of drain and fill ports.

For 'F-sake', i spent 15mins trying to locate the drain and fill ports on my 6-speed manual transmission so i can do a service.
I even have a Chiltons manual that has a photograph of these two items. But dam if i can find them.

The picture shows they are a socket head type and not allen type bolts, is this true?
Are they on the drivers or passengers side? Approximately where on the trans can they be found?

I'm starting to feel pretty stupid, but oh well...
Thanks in advance
