Broken shift linkage bolts

So I went to the butcher to get a bunch of meat and on the way home I went to grab 3rd and my knuckles nailed the dash. My already long shift is now from the dash all the way to the seat. Anyways I was getting a little leary of the sloppy lever and was going to dig into it this weekend anyways, now I have too. I Broke the lower bolt on the linkage and the upper one was loose.



Now I'm off to the shop to get the bolt out and see if I can find 2 bolts to put it back together otherwise I will have to wait until monday to get the bolts from Ford.

Well I went to the shop and drilled the bolt out, broke 2 of my easy outs and ended up chiseling the broken bolt out of the hole and then chasing the threads with a tap. I got 2 bolts from work and got it back together. The good news is that the shifter is a lot tighter than it was before.
