Auto trans slipping bad in 1st and second not as bad in other gears??

I have a 2000 model f250 with a 7.3
It has 230k miles
I now Travel a lot
Had the truck for 7 years now
A couple years ago while towing it overheated a couple times and puked trans fluid out the top
I put a 6.0 trans cooler on it once I found the cause
For 5 years the truck had edge evolution programmer
Then last year I went to php hydra chip
I don't run the truck to hard but lately I 2nd and a lil in 1st the trans is slipping
If I get on it it don't accelerate at all...rpm will reach 3k then I let out and stay under1500 rpm and it will slowly gain speed
Is my whole trany going or not??
Btw until trans gets warm it does not want to go in overdrive
I've never seen the trans reach over 160 since 6.0 cooler was installed and usually stays at 115 to 125

Sounds like low line pressure to me. Did it start slipping right after the hydra install?

An aftermarket valve body MIGHT fix your problems.

The edge evolution electronically raises the line pressure to give you hard shifting. Your hydra tunes are probably running at stock or near stock line pressure which is causing the slippage.

No it just started slipping lately
It usually only does it when I get on it
But every once in awhile it slips real bad when just normally pulling out

wierd. might be a sensor or a problem with the solenoid pack. no way to tell until the problem comes back.

if it comes back, i would try replacing the solenoid pack to see if that fixes it.
