where is the tft sensor

iv got an 01 with an auto and my wife got me pillar mount gauges for christmas and i was wondering where the sensor is located for tranny temp thanks for the help

Probably still at the store where your wife bought the gauges. hehe.. Seriously though, you do need a sensor that will go in the test port of the transmission. The OEM sensor is installed somewhere inside the transmission, and more importantly, it is in a location that doesn't really measure anything useful. That is why people add the after market gauge.
