Im going to build my trans, need some advice?

My trans went boom, now wont move, stuff broke inside. I haven't taken it apart yet, but I have another core to build up. I have a john wood valve body, going with a modified 6.0 converter, borg warner clutches, billet shafts, Etc... I was quoted from john wood $2500 for his rebuild kit, not sure if that comes with a converter or not? I wanted to go bts, but not sure I want to spend that much, but it may cost that much anyways if I add everything up. What would you guys do, mild build or bts, or john wood it? Im gonna run it up around 400-450 hp, 500-550 in future, maybe 3 years down road. Advice? Any used bts transmissions out there?

IM THINKING BTS IS THE WAY TO GO, EVEN IF I WAS TO BILLET ALL THE INTERNALS OF MINE, ITS GOING TO COST MORE, AND STILL MAY NEVER SHIFT ANYTHING LIKE A BTS, OR HOLD UP. IM SURE MORE THAN JUST CHANGING PARTS GOES INTO IT, SO WITH THAT SAID, IM GOING BTS. IM GOING TO SAVE UP FOR ONE.

I paid $4500 but that was 2yrs ago. So I assume price has come up some since.
