Transmission Pan Magnet

I just purchased a used 2001 F250 4x4 (I believe it is the 4R100 tranny). I dropped the transmission pan to change the fluid and filter and noticed that there is no magnet in the bottom of the pan. I'm assuming that it came with one and the PO changed the fluid before and left out the magnet. I can't seem to find the part anywhere except the dealer but the dealer says it will take a week to get in and won't give me the part number for some reason. I'm assuming because he doesn't want me to look elsewhere. Is anyone familiar with the magnet part number or where I can find one that will work? I'm afraid to use something different because I wouldn't want it to come loose and start flying around in the transmission. Thanks for any help.

any decent magnet will never come loose IMHO even if the impossible happened it would never make it past pickup

if your like me you drop the pan when u do service so you can always slap a fat magnet on the outside

Not a bad idea. I do have a speaker magnet that I removed from an old 6x9. It would work for now until I find the replacement. Thanks.
