changing the fluid in my 4r100

so i'm planning on putting a deep pan on my truck, says it holds 7.5 extra quarts, i had my shop do a full rebuild on the trans with lots of goodies, the last thing i wanted to put on it was a Deep pan, and its about time for its first fluid change,

so what would all i have to, to get this done?
is it just like changing the motor oil or what?
drain it, drop the old pan, change the filter, bolt up new pan, and fill thru the dip stick?
i was planning on using Napa dexron III/ Mercon? 25qrts? with the deep plan
then the napa Deep pan filter for like 28 bucks

this is my first automatic trans, im just to used to swapping the gear oil in my other trucks in the transmission
