6.0 trans cooler swap

Im in the process of installing a 6.0 trannie cooler in my 99.5 f350 the cooler i have has to ports on the top in and out i dont no with is witch it looks to be about a 1/2 to 5/8 nipple a hose should fit right on it held in place with a clamp. the cooler in the truck has pressed fitting metal lines to the cooler can i cut them off put a fitting from one hose to the other then to the new cooler. i have looked for a video all over this site but cant seem to find one can anyone help any and all info would be great thanks ahead of time.

I believe the 6.0 cooler has 1/2 inch lines. Not sure what size hose is coming from your transmission now, but chances are good that they are 3/8 inch. There have been a good amount of discussion on this swap here already, but I think you will get some hose barb fittings that step up from 3/8 to 1/2 inch, and of course you would need whatever length of 1/2 hose needed (transmission fluid rated-NAPA has it) to reach from the new cooler to the transmission lines. Good luck-do a search here and find more info.
