anyone using Recon tripple disc converters?

Is anyone running the Recon Tripple disc converter(the parent company is transtar)?

What do you think of it?

Any problems?

I am just looking for over all thoughts on it.

Thanks Chris.

well, i was hoping for a better response, so i will throw out what I am getting at and stop beating around the bush...

I have a recon and this is my second one, which is now rebuilt.

I put the first one in my truck when i rebuilt my transmission. it worked great for about 4 months, then it took a dive one day towing, took the pump and clutches in the trans with it. they sent me a new one, but wanted nothing to do with the thousands of dollars worth of damage to my brand new trans. This one was installed at a shop, 3 days later it took a dive and over heated the hell out of the now newly newly rebuilt trans mission, this time it sherded all the splines on the output shaft... so i ended up having the first one rebuilt and sent the second one back, and now i cant get a hold of anyone at recon and they wouldnt help me in the first place.... not happy, so this 800 dollar tc has left me to foot the bill of over 4k of there product malfuctions...

That blows. Stay on them though. What about transtar or your builders warranty?

Early on i talked to larry about it, he gave me the number of the guy at transtar, and he is the one that wont call me back... I recently sent pat pm, havent heard back yet. But my issues really are not with them, they were great early on and sent me a new one instantly. but larry did say he would try and get some results from transtar but they needed my old one back, and i havent heard anything from them sence i sent it
