OD flash then PUKE

Was driving back from Louisiana OD light started flashing then it puked found a guy to look at it said front seal was shot he replaced it and didnt rape me on. Get back on the road after a two day wait it was on New Years in a little town in Alabama. Drove about 45 more miles the light started flashing again. Shut her down let it cool then proceeded to drive 362 miles back to NC get 10 miles from home in a blinding snow storm the light comes on again puked a very small amount of fluid. I let it sit again light went off drove it home no issues what so ever. Drove it work this morning no issues. Only codes it showed was a P1783 Transmission Over Heat, this was the only code it ever showed. Could it be my tranny cooler is not handling it? It was in low 20's the whole ride home with lots of snow. Its seemed that if I was on the highway traveling at highway speeds it was fine but when I got into town where I was having to drive very slow due to the snow and ice and ppl who dont know how to drive in this weather it came back on? Any ideas?
