is there a adjuster for the shifter or is it worn out because i have a hard time to get it out of park.

Derick,it's not the trans it's something to do with the shifter colum

Its in the shift column. I had the same problem and it got so bad that the shifter just quit working one day thankfully I was at the shop when it happened so I got the dash tore all apart to fix it when a bolt fell on the floor mat. It works best if you just lay on the floor and look up at the bottom of the steering column and tighten the bolt back up or in my case put it back together
