2001 7.3 4r100 help

Ive got a 2001 cc 4x4 F250. It shifts through all the gears great until od kicks in then its like it falls on its face. It drops all the way down to right around 1000 rpms maybe a little more but right around that. Sometimes it goes into od perfectly only drops down to around 1500 or so and is a lot smoother. What do yall think?

My truck has 187k on it. I didn't know if that shifting into overdrive would be actual trans or the torque converter.
