transmission "THUD" fixed

i have had a problem when the transmission shifted from 2nd to 3rd that it was liek someone had hit me in the rear end. Well I called Jasper Transmissions and their R&D Dept advised me that I need to find a transmission shop that can hook up a laptop and get live data stream from the transmission and engine. Well I did just that. I found a transmission shop that does not charge to check out the truck. They told me that the computer monitors more things than we can imagine and it takes all that information and makes all this work together to get us smoothly down the road.
Well in my case they found 4 codes.....now you have to know that there are two types of codes...hard codes and soft codes.....
a hard code can be detected and cleared with the hand held units that is available to the general public. Soft codes are things that effect the system but doesnt stop the system from working
well like i was saying...i had 4 codes....
water in fuel circuit was one
glow plug showed they were timed short
waste gate solinoid circuit
throttle position indicator ( gas pedal )

I purchased a new pedel assembly from the dealership ( dealership part only) for 183.90
I want back to the transmission shop and had the fluid and filter changed adn they also added friction modifiers and now my transmission is running smooth.....
so the problems we might have or think we might have arent always internal to the transmission...i hope that i have given enough details for people having the same problem that i had been living with.
