Rebuild Tranny problems

I dont know a lot of the technical terms so please bare with me. My husbands 1997 f250 7.3 Turbo powerstroke diesel has had flashing od button issues for quite some time. Two weeks ago he came home and the truck was puking transmission fluid all over the place. The tranny was rebuild and something with the torque converter not sure if rebuild or new, he picked the truck up a few days ago. He got about 10 miles and the OD button started flashing and truck wouldn't go into OD, also RPM's were high when tried to come to a stop. Truck when back to transmission shop and they diagnosed the problem as one of the sensors. After resetting the computer, the tech couldn't get the button to come back on. He replaced the sensor anyways. Today the truck is picked up and the OD button doesn't come on but truck will not shift into OD. Help???

There is a 90 % chance your problem is the wireing that goes from the od switch down thru the handle is chafeing.. VERY common problem. The shift handle will have to be replaced, it comes with new wireing. From $130 to $190 for parts and labor.
