trannie slipping

Hello All
my trannie is slipping at times it shifts good when its cold but after motor warms up it doesnt want to go from first to second other gears shift ok I can also hand shift it with no problems. I keep filter an fluid changed on a regular basis i do tow an 7-10 thousand lb trailer about once a week. dang almost forgot I have a 97 350 dually with the 7.3 . Cant afford a rebuild now an dont want to if thats not the prob any help would be appreciated

Morning Edward! Welcome to the org.! I'm sure you'll get an answer here but it may not be what you want to hear. When they start slipping they are usually ready for a re-build. I have my second remanufactured tranny from FORD. Don't really like 'em. Plan to have this one re-built to take a little more punishment.

Where in NC are you located? I am in the Greenville, SC area and can point you in the direction of two builders I would recommend.
