Tranny popping when going from forward to reverse

I put a brand new tripple disk torque converter in my truck a couple of months ago. Since then, I have a noticable pop when I put my truck from forward to reverse, or vise versa. Once it pops it will not do it again, or sometimes it does not do it immediately, but as soon as I give it throttle, it pops. I have tried to adjust the shifter linkage, and that does kind of change when it pops, but still never stops it. Anyone have any ideas?

Have you checked your U-joints? I had some go bad and they would pop when I changed directions as you described. Worth a check....
