6 speed slave cylinder problems.
Truck is a 99 F350 with 6 speed. About 30k on a new clutch. A week ago I put in a new slave and master for the clutch. Worked great for about a week, maybe 100 miles. Today pedal got real hard and there is a noise when the clutch is pressed in when running. I pulled the slave and the two plastic retainers are broke, and I think they are supposed to stay in one piece. Truck also does not want to hardly turn over now and I have never had trouble like that before. Anyone hve any ideas? TIA

Never had one apart, but sort of sounds like the throw out bearing is jammed. Can you get the truck in gear?

The 2 straps are not supposed to be connected. "what my instructions say " There to hold the piston back while installing.

Looks like it may need to go to the tranny shop again.

There is supposed to be a plastic cap on the end of the rob or it will be hard to shift.

Got the truck back from the tranny shop yesterday and the fork that moves the thoughout bearing was broke. Also the clutch was almost shot. Only 30k on a clutch doesn't seem very good.
