need some help with noise from trans
ok. so im driving home from work today. a good 60 miles or so just moderate driving not towing anything either. Im almost home and i leave the stop sign and get on it a bit. I hear this slight squealing noise. so i let of the gas goes away. get on it again same thing. what could this be??? truck is a 2002 f-250 psd with 66,000 on it. im assuming its something tranny related on it. any ideas what to do??

I would inspect the brakes. Also inspect the pulleys under the hood. Alternator, powersteering, belt tensioner.

the brakes were just changed last night. it wasnt coming to a stop it was when i mashed the go pedal leaving the stop sign.
|
|

also check the u-joint. i had the same type of noise in a f-150 and it was a bad u joint. only squealed when you got on it. once you started getting up to speed it would go away. just a thought.
