Really quick shift with TW chip

So I've had my Tony Wildman chip for a while, but since the beginning it's been shifting really quick (between 2nd and 3rd I believe, but not 100% positive). It almost shifts simultaneously. Shifts into second then goes to 3rd right away, basically skipping over 2nd gear. It only does this driving normally. If you're on the gas pretty hard, it's normal.

My question is, is it supposed to be like this? Seems a bit odd to waste a gear when trying to have the best performance. Maybe it's just me?

Mine seems to do this stock except with 3rd to 4th. It shifts to third then within 2 seconds, under light-medium throttle, it shifts to 4th.

When I mash on it, the shifts seem normally spaced, equal and proportional shifts.

Your problem though should be easily fixed by contacting Tony and getting a reburn. Mine can be fixed by tuning as well, but not sure why its like that stock. It definitely doesn't seem healthy for the trans though. I will be getting a custom chip one of these days though.

Actually, it does it between 3rd and 4th. For some reason I thought the 4R100 had 3 gears and an overdrive.

I have emailed Tony Wildman about this, just waiting for his reply.

I have Tony's tunes on my chip, and I've noticed this
1) on the tow-60 tune - the 2-3 shift is much quicker and harder.
2) on the tow-80 tune - the 3-4 shift is much quicker and harder.
The ECO-60, seems 'firmer' on the 2-3 and 3-4, but not has hard as the tow tunes.

I'm curious if the tunes are either changing the pressures on the shift or changing the TC lockup's.

Mine does this on all tunes I think, but does it really bad on Street. But like I said, waiting for Tony Wildman's reply.

I have a similar issue with my tunes but I am having the issue with TC lockup and the 2-3 shift. THey happen so close together that everything slams HARD! At first I thought it was a trans or TC issue but I honestly believe it maybe the tunes. Keep us updated as to what Tony says. Maybe he can fix the issue easily in the tunes.

I notice it most in my Race tune. If you mash it everything shifts great, but if you drive normally with it the shift is insanely hard. The Race tune gives me the best fuel economy so I like to stick with it when I can.

He said he looked at my tunes and there didn't seem to be anything wrong, and he offered to reburn my chip. But I'm thinking about getting bigger injectors soon, so it wasn't really worth sending it back when I'm just going to do it in a couple weeks.
