Trans Temp Gauge

Hello. I have a bd x-monitor that displays my boost, egt, and trans temp. For the trans temp, it taps into the wiring harness not directly into the tranny. IS this as accurate? I just got a performance tranny and it is constantly around 180.

With summer temps 180 is not bad.
I feel safer with a sensor in the side. If your concerned if yours isn't accurate, you can always get another unit and compare.
