pan leaking?

does the pan gasket go bad? my trans was serviced not to long a go, just noticed after towing my car, there is a puddle under the truck, looks like its coming from the pan, hard to tell

the pan gasket doesnt go bad , and isnt a gasket at all but is special silicone made just for that application, very seldom see one leak, and if it does leak, generally doesnt leave a puddle , is usually just a seep to very slight leak, more than likely if you have a puddle under the truck, need to look on top of the engine in the valley its proably wet in there and running down, there is a hole in the back that allows the oil to run out the back of the engine and drips on the ground between the trans and the engine

its def trans fluid, still red, not sure how long its been leaking, just noticed it, its been parked for about 2 weeks

sorry i thought you meant oil leak from oil pan, if you just noticed the leak oly after towing a car , then that would be the front seal in the trans , front pump seals are fairly commo to leak , especially after towing or during towing , the trans gets hot and pukes fluid out the front, probably newd to get seal replaced , may even want to add an extra trans cooler
