Transmission Code P0782

Hey all, I am a brand new owner of a 2001 F250 7.3! It is my very first diesel and I am very excited about it. Well, I was more excited until I drove it home. It worked fine while I drove it at the lot and around town. I didn't notice anything until about 40 miles down the freeway. The service engine soon light came on and so did the OD OFF light. I took it to work where our fleet mechanic rattled off some trouble codes from the engine, 5 to be exact and 1 from the tranny. The tranny is the one I am most worried about. It is a P0782 2-3 shift trouble code. I have looked this up on these forums and my situation is a little different. I have all the gears and reverse. It only happens when I get on the throttle a little bit. It moves from 2nd to 3rd pretty rough and seems to downshift and then continues like nothing happened. That is when the light starts to flash. It resets every time I restart the rig. If I keep it nice and slow, there will be no problems. I do notice that it likes to stay in
2nd a little longer than I would expect. I also have a small tranny leak in what I am assuming is the tranny pan. I am very sorry for my ignorance on the topic, but I would really like to learn and figure out what this is...and how much it is going to cost. Thanks in advance!

Ps- It also has a Banks Big Hoss mod on it and only 88K on the clock.
