Unhappy 03 7.3 powerstroke transmission not engaging. HELP!!!

Hi I have a 03 7.3 powerstroke with 97k on it. It had a superchip but it has been put back to stock.

The truck has been shifting odd (shifting in and out of gear and holding gears) so I parked it. I got back into it yesterday and the batteries were dead. I jumped it and put it in drive and it was perfect for about 7 mins. Then it started acting like it was falling out of gear. I pulled it over and turned it off. Restarted it and it shifted from first to second fine then did it again. So I pulled over and tried it again. I had nothing. Not drive 1st 2nd or reverse. It was like I was in neutral. I was able to get it home by feathering into the pedal.

The fluid is perfect with no burnt smell.

Check the linkage first. If good, then i say tranny or TC bad/going bad.
