4r100 No RPM drop when shifting

Gents,

2001 7.3 SCSB 4x4 4r100. Only mods are 6637 and 4" MBRP.

Had the transmission rebuilt approx. 5 months ago using kit from RacerX USA (Red Seals), RacerX TC, and Transgo Tugger HD. A vast improvement from the original but now I do not get RPM drop when shifting until Overdrive is hit. Once in OD the truck accelerates like it should. Up until OD, the RPM's stick around 2300 to 2500 RPM's.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Id contact racerx, he seems very knowledgeable and willing to help (from his posts I've seen in different forums).

Thanks for the reply.

You're right, I talked to him a couple of days after posting. He said it sounded like the holes weren't drilled for the Transgo kit. The transmission seemed offended when I mentioned it to them and chastised me for bringing in my own kit which was exactly the same kit they were going to buy. The truck will go back in the shop soon. It's a pain living in a new area and trying to find a good shop.
