Tranny problem after messing with turbo wires

I had to splice into the wires to the ebpv solenoid, and the fuel bowl wires. They had been chewed by rats. Hooked it all back up (had to remove the turbo intake spider) and started it up. Went into reverse and backed up fine. Put it in drive and it barely would move forward. In low the torque converter semms to lock up fine. Is there some wires or vaccuum line I may have bumped that would affect the tranny/torque converter. the od off light is also blinking. There were no tranny problems before I messed with the other wires mentioned.

Let me clarify. When I put it in drive or 2 it seems like it wants to start in 4th gear. When I start in 1st gear it seems to work as it should. Is this a Limp home mode for this tranny? Any ideas?

You need to trace the wires from the trans up to the fender and the PCM, it's likely that something got chewed. Also pull your codes so you can see what the issue with the trans is. My guess is the solenoid pack isn't being commanded correctly.

Yes sir. I didn't want to believe it. Found a chewed up harness bundle on the driver side crossframe to the back of the tranny. I really think that happened this week after my initial problems. 2 wires chewed completely through and 4 wires with cover chewed off exposing the wire.

Now it runs and shifts normal, but the fuel gauge is showing a quarter tank, when the tank is full!
