reverse

so i recently bought a 2002 f450 4x4. it has a edge chip and a ts 6 position. not exactly sure what the tunes are i know it has high idle, 50 75 100 200 hp i think! now it doesnt have reverse. it seems like it is in neatural not reverse. no click nothing. any ideas??

Not really. For your chip"s" you really only have one or the other, I don't know which one trumps. If you remove the Edge you'll have better performance.

Tranny problems... Not a clue. I'm like most other folk and have just not gotten in depth on them. I have rebuilt them, but forum troubleshooting is normally over my head. I think you're supposed to loose another gear if reverse goes out, otherwise it could be a fuse/relay issue.

It's strange tho the first click down where reverse should be it doesn't move like it's in neutral. And then the next one down (the neutral spot) it moves forward. But only like it is in first gear. But from them on it's ok

Seems odd to me. Might be prudent to take it to the dealer and have them run their tests. Wish I could be of better help, but, I've never ran across that problem before.

Yea. My mom had a 97 a long time ago and the control box went out I can't remember which one it was tho.
