think my tc just took a crap. am I rite?

Hi everyone. So I was heading home from work yesterday and I started having problems after it would shift. It would shift and run through first and second fine but after shifting into third while accelarating it seems it not grabbing once I hit like 1600 or so rpm.but if I power through it, it will shift again and do the same thing. That's why I think its the tc. I'm no expert on trannys so advice would be great. Also if it is the tc can I replace just that or is there other stuff I need to replace with it.
If it is the tc should I not drive it at the risk of hurting the trans or doesn't it matter?
Thanks again.

To me, it sounds like your clutches are done. You're actually at the point I expect to be at next tire change, and that's time for a rebuild or upgrade. I'd rather upgrade. I'm not a tranny expert either, but I offer free advice all the time.

Do it now. There was a month wait for mine. I went through stock trans and then two more stage three 500hp rebuilt pos before smartening up. Pay up now not more later, that is if you plan on towing and keeping the truck. I've seen. BTS trans go for $3000 used with 100k miles one them, they pulled it and threw a sticker in go sell the truck, not everyone could appreciate a BTS.
