Question No GEARS!!!!! PLEASE HELP before i go broke.

Lets start by saying I drive a 2000 7.3 Powerstroke. Last night I parked the truck like normally and went to bed, the next day when I went out to leave and go to work I started the truck and let it run for 10 mins like always. Once it was warmed up I went to back out of the driveway..... NO REVERSE. Then i attempted to drive around the yard, put it in D and NO GEARS what so ever. Never had an issue with the trans what so ever. A few hard shifts when running on the race ready tune for my DP chip but not enough to do harm.

I need some help or ideas before I do a complete overhaul of the 4R100 trans

Took the chip out still nothing, going to do a complete trans flush and new filter and gasket. See if that works.

I'm having the same exact problem & I'm 99.9% positive I know what your problem is: The boost valve in your tranny's pump is stuck. Also: Check the valves in your accumulators located on the bottom-front of the transmission just behind where your filter mounts. What's happening is there's some gunk in the boost valve causing it to stick open & it's not cycling oil to your R, D, etc.

If you have any trans experience, it's an intermediate skill level job & you'll have to take the transmission out. Otherwise, it's gonna have to go to a good transmission shop & I'm not exactly sure how much a job like that will cost. Let me know if you want me to go through the steps or if you choose the latter. Either way, while the trans is out, I'd recommend looking at some tranny upgrades & you'll be golden.
