4x4 does not engage

I put my 2000 7.3 in 4x4 using the selector knob today and I was unable to turn it back to 2x4. I removed the actuator at the crankcase and manually put it to 2x4. Now I am unable to put it back to 4x4. Anyone have any suggestions? There is no 4x4 indicator lights coming on at the control switch or in the spedometer cluster. All fuses have been checked as well. I also tested the leads going to the Transfer case actuator. I get no current when I turn the switch to 4x4.

Could be your GEM (General Electric Module). Usually located behind the fuse panel in that year truck. If its not there, open the glove box all the way (let it hang to the floor and look up you'll see a little black box. Every electric 4x4 problem ive had, this little box replaced fixes my problem GL.
