Towing at 2,300 rpm
So today I decided to help a friend out my trailering his suburban 50 miles to his house. No problem with a f250 4r100 right? Wrong!!! It felt like I was pulling a brick house down the road doing 50 mph at roughly 2300 rpms and never shifting into fourth. Oh and by the way. The 85 suburban was completely gutted. No engine trans doghouse doors seats dash. Nothing. It was a rolling chassis. Then I decided to use my TC lockup. And it made it a little nicer. I was doing 65 @ 1900rpms. So. What's the best trans for modified trucks? Still staying with the 4r100 that its. And if that's not my problem. Then what is?

First, start a sig with some info on your truck, specifically mods and tire size. 50MPH in OD towing would be lugging the motor. 2300RPM isn't that much. I would start with a good tow tune so you can get the transmission to lockup sooner.
