4r100 reverse but no forward gears

My dad and I replaced the transmission solenoid pack today, but it still doesn't work. There were no shavings in the pan when we dropped it. It didn't want to go into gear one day, then the next day it did fine then it just stopped the day after that. It shifted fine the last time I drove it. It has to be something electrical right?

im having the same problem with my 01. but im still on my stock transmission. have you fix it yet? if so how did you fix it?

Does the truck move at all when you put in it drive? Do you have 4x4? If you do, put it in 4 low and if it goes forward just fine, its your transfer case. If it slowly starts moving, then its your tranny. I went through this quite a few times. More in likely, your forward clutches are burned up and you will need a rebuild. Just my two cents.
