Transmission is out, any cheap upgrades?

Well i helped my buddy take out his transmission today so he can replace his front seal. He isnt too mechanically inclined so i lent him a helping hand. Transmissions are not really my line of work (bought a BTS and slapped her in! LOL) however, he is wondering if there is any cheap upgrades or things he should do while its out?

So far:
Replaced seal
Replaced Filter
Inspected TC (and looks good)
Cleaned transmission cooler lines
And has new fluid ready to be filled after install

He doesnt have money for any expensive new TC as much as he'd love one, but is there anything else we're forgetting? Anything that would make it easy for future transmission R&R? (Trans currently shifts wonderfully and TC locks up fine)
