There is a chunk missing from my tranny.

I bought this truck about 7 months ago, it has a remanufactured ZF S6-650 from 2004. I dropped the transmission & transfer case because I thought the clutch was going out. Turns out the clutch is still good, but the clutch fork is bent.

The previous owner seemed in a hurry to get this truck off his hands and now I know why.

I'm thinking about taking it to a local shop and having it TIG welded.

A very reputable shop offered to TIG weld the piece back together for $150-200. He assured me that it would hold up great!
