7.3 auto tranny problems

Hey guys.

Just signed up
Names David. From Naples, fl. Own a 2001 7.3 supercab auto with 137k miles.
About to sell my truck since I own a landscaping company and need another dump truck. I hate to sell it. I love the truck. Have pulled everything from my 12 foot box trailer to my 30 foot race trailer.

I am having a problem with my trans.
Once you put it into drive an go. It won't and stays in neutral. Try putting it into 1st and it will do the same thing only a couple times. What could be the issue?
